Yesterday, I fixed my brother’s xbox one s! When it comes down to it, it is basically just a laptop. I really didn’t do anything too impressive, but I didn’t break anything extra that I couldn’t fix which I am pretty happy about. The problem was that the CPU was being stopped because it was having cooling issues. I cracked it open to discover huge collections of dust on the fan, heat sync, exhaust, and intake. It was horrible. It explained the problems that we had been having with it and when testing it without the case, it was immediately faster. I got some compressed air from the store and cleaned out the console. After putting it back together and fixing a problem that I caused myself by mistake, it was back together and working fantastically. It took me a lot longer than it should have, but it was really neat to use things that I learned in class in real life.
