I upgraded my laptops RAM. I looked at the documentation and discovered that I had an empty RAM slot. I purchased the RAM and some thermal compound. I had been having some cooling troubles. Some of my cores were hitting 93 degrees C when the cpu was at full load. so I thought that it might be the thermal paste. After installing the RAM and replacing the thermal paste, my computer runs much faster and didn’t have any more cooling problems. Now I can keep many applications open at once and none of my cores go over 70 degrees C even after running at full load for an extended period of time. The upgrade was well worth it.
